This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical guidance for knowledge management and enhance external visibility across extensive, multi-country global health initiatives.
• Design and implement strategies that promote knowledge sharing and learning.
• Create strategic communications and high-quality technical materials aimed at donors, government entities, and partner organizations.
• Oversee the planning and execution of webinars, conferences, technical events, learning sessions, and knowledge exchange activities.
• Ensure technical accuracy, consistency, compliance with donor branding and marking guidelines, and adherence to organizational standards across all products.
• Collaborate with technical teams, country offices, and partners to gather, analyze, and share evidence, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Develop and sustain knowledge-sharing processes, tools, and methodologies across various projects and countries.
• Formulate the knowledge management component of project plans within budgetary and financial limitations.
• Coordinate requests for technical assistance from country offices.
• Design, create, plan, and implement knowledge products and knowledge exchange events.
• May oversee junior technical staff, subcontractors, consultants, and others involved in technical project work.
• Monitor the delivery of project outputs.
• Represent FHI 360 and/or the Institute at professional gatherings and conferences.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with donors, clients, government bodies, NGOs, implementing partners, field counterparts, and technical personnel.
• Engage in client/funder meetings and prepare reports and presentations.
• Enhance the knowledge management capabilities of country office personnel.
• Generate success stories, technical briefs, case studies, lessons learned documents, fact sheets, presentations, reports, manuscripts, and other dissemination materials.
• Contribute to digital and visual knowledge products, including social media content, photography, data visualization, graphic design, and multimedia materials.
• Synthesize technical information and evidence from diverse sources into succinct, audience-appropriate products.
• Assist in developing and reviewing work plans.
• Serve as the primary author for technical deliverables.
• Collect and compile data for summaries and high-level overviews.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures.
• Master's Degree or equivalent international qualification in Knowledge/Information Services, Communications, Education, Environment, Health, Behavioral, Life/Social Sciences, International Development, Human Development, or a related field.
• Typically requires over 8 years of relevant experience in global health, international development, or a related field.
• Proven experience supporting large, complex, multi-country projects or programs.
• Prior experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) or governmental agency.
• Demonstrated capability to distill complex technical information, evidence, and lessons learned into clear, strategic, actionable messages and products.
• Experience in leading or assisting with technical dissemination, visibility, strategic engagement, webinars, conferences, stakeholder engagements, and learning events.
• Familiarity with donor branding and marking requirements, organizational style standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Strong knowledge and skills in a specific technical area/function along with a general understanding of related technical areas/functions.
• Awareness of knowledge management standards, operational processes and procedures, and task flow.
• Ability to manage projects, establish realistic priorities, and plan successful implementation of activities.
• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, content and message development, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in creating social media content, photography, videos, infographics, data visualization, graphic design, and multimedia materials.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Proficiency in French is preferred; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Project Management (PM) Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Sprout Social, Muck Rack, or other creative software/applications is an advantage.
• Ability to spend extended periods looking at a computer screen and performing repetitive keyboard tasks.
• Capability to sit and stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 5 lbs.
• Travel requirement ranges from 10% to 25%.
• Must pass required employment screening checks and sign the FHI 360 code of conduct.
