This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the creation and execution of agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for Cash and Market Based Programming.
• Facilitate the integration of gender considerations, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction across various sectors.
• Offer programmatic and operational technical support to Country Program teams both remotely and on-site.
• Provide guidance on strategic planning, standards, best practices, partnership principles, tools, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Contribute to or lead the technical design of proposals, and assist with proposal preparation, design, submission, and approval processes.
• Serve as a technical writer for proposal development teams as needed.
• Counsel project teams on the integration of donor strategies, priorities, and technical requirements.
• Promote capacity building through learning and training strategies, curricula, workshops, coaching, and mentoring.
• Gather and analyze program data while sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Contribute to the learning agenda for Cash and Market Based Programming.
• Maintain connections with donors, peer organizations, research entities, and other institutions.
• Participate in forums related to Cash and Market Based Programming.
• Assist Country Programs and partners in enhancing cash readiness.
• Aid in the development of capacities, identification of cash delivery mechanisms and Financial Service Providers, as well as SOPs and tools.
• Support the design and execution of pilot cash programs.
• Collaborate with internal HRD, regional and Country Program staff, together with external partners, donors, and peer agencies.
• A Bachelor's Degree in humanitarian assistance, social policy, economics, or a related field is required.
• At least five to eight years of relevant work experience with increasing responsibilities, preferably with an international NGO.
• A minimum of two years of relevant emergency response and field experience in cash and market-based programming, including in both protracted and rapid onset crisis contexts.
• Proven experience as a trainer in CVA Programming.
• Solid understanding of technical principles and concepts in cash and market-based programming, including various CVA delivery mechanisms.
• Demonstrated experience in designing CVA Programs, particularly for US Government funding.
• Experience in designing and implementing Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) or sectoral cash and voucher programs in relation to Food Security, Livelihoods, Shelter, or WASH sectors.
• Proficient in conducting market assessments and response analyses to guide modality decisions.
• Experience in innovative project design for rapid response with market-based programming in diverse environments.
• Proven track record in proposal development for government and/or private donors.
• Knowledge of best practices in capacity building and technical accompaniment.
• Strong networking and relationship skills with donors, peer organizations, faith-based, and civil society partners.
• A solid understanding of partnership principles.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 50%, including at short notice and to emergency situations.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), data analytics, and Power BI is preferred.
• Proficiency in French, Portuguese, and Arabic is highly desirable.
• A Master's Degree in humanitarian assistance, social policy, economics, or a related field is an advantage.
• Eligibility to work legally in the location where the position is based.
• Candidates who require residence or frequent travel outside their home country must pass a pre-employment medical clearance.
