This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee construction activities at client locations.
• Lead site crews and manage daily operations.
• Ensure that technical execution meets project objectives and adheres to company policies.
• Organize project activities and allocate resources effectively.
• Maintain current and accessible site documentation and technical procedures.
• Advocate for EHS guidelines and perform risk assessments.
• Halt or suspend work when safety or quality standards are at risk.
• Conduct in-process rewind tests, including high potential, surge, stator core loop, and insulation resistance tests.
• Carry out fault investigations.
• Serve as the main contact for customers and subcontractors.
• Provide on-the-job training.
• Oversee team performance while promoting a culture of safety and discipline.
• Engage in pre-bid job walks.
• Assist in formulating cost estimates for proposals.
• Monitor project risks to reduce additional costs.
• Prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans from home during intervals between site assignments.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with hydroelectric generators, ideally in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of repair and replacement practices for mechanical equipment and heavy industrial machinery in hydroelectric facilities.
• Experience in maintaining multi-purpose hydroelectric generating facilities, such as dams, powerhouses, and gate/valve houses.
• Understanding of safe operation practices for heavy construction equipment.
• Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office.
• Capability to perform shaft line alignment, bearing settings, and utilize mechanical precision tools/on-site machining tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex manuals, drawings, and project specifications.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and empower diverse site teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites across the United States.
• Openness to working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work from home during breaks between site assignments to prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans.
• Must meet all requirements to work on-site at various customer facilities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
