This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee construction operations at customer locations.
• Lead site teams and manage daily activities.
• Ensure that technical implementation meets project objectives and adheres to company standards.
• Organize project tasks and allocate necessary resources.
• Maintain up-to-date site documentation and technical protocols for accessibility.
• Promote EHS standards and carry out risk assessments.
• Halt work if safety or quality benchmarks are at risk.
• Conduct in-process rewind tests, such as high potential, surge, stator core loop, and insulation resistance tests.
• Execute fault investigations.
• Serve as the main contact for customers and subcontractors.
• Facilitate on-the-job training.
• Oversee team performance while cultivating a culture centered on safety and discipline.
• Engage in pre-bid job walks.
• Aid in formulating cost estimates for proposals.
• Monitor project risks to reduce extra costs.
• Work from home between site assignments to draft offers, cost estimates, and mobilization strategies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with hydroelectric generators, ideally in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of repair and replacement methods for mechanical equipment and heavy machinery used in hydroelectric facilities.
• Experience in maintaining multi-purpose hydroelectric generating plants, including dams, powerhouses, and gate/valve houses.
• Understanding of safe operational procedures for heavy construction machinery.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capable of building effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proven skills in performing shaft line alignment, bearing settings, and utilizing mechanical precision tools and on-site machining tools.
• Strong aptitude for problem-solving.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex manuals, drawings, and project specifications.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, motivate, and empower diverse teams on-site.
• Willingness to travel frequently to various job sites across the United States.
• Availability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of working from home between site assignments to prepare offers, cost estimates, and mobilization plans.
• Must fulfill all requirements to work on-site at different customer facilities.
