Technical Accounting Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluate accounting and finance scenarios while reviewing AI-generated responses for accuracy, completeness, and professional relevance.

• Analyze financial reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and technical accounting content in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

• Offer expert feedback aimed at enhancing the quality, consistency, and reliability of AI-generated outputs.

• Develop realistic case studies in accounting and finance that reflect real-world business scenarios.

• Create clear and concise explanations of accounting principles, technical accounting guidance, and their practical applications.

• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in AI-generated analyses and provide recommendations for improvement.

• Assess AI reasoning and decision-making within the realms of accounting and finance.

• Collaborate with project teams to elevate evaluation standards and quality guidelines.

• Independently manage priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.

• Test and review outputs produced by AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in one or more areas such as Public Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Audit, Tax, Advisory Services, Financial Reporting, FP&A, or Finance Operations.

• Strong comprehension of financial reporting and controllership functions.

• Knowledge of technical accounting subjects, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.

• Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance.

• Experience with treasury functions and month-end close processes.

• Exceptional written communication and analytical skills.

• Capacity to work independently in a fully remote setting.

• Basic understanding of AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, or other LLM tools.

• Availability for 30-40 hours per week during the engagement period.

• CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.

• A Master's degree or advanced credentials in accounting/finance is advantageous.

• Experience in creating or reviewing intricate accounting and finance case studies.

• Background in consulting, advisory, or project-based roles.

• Interest in emerging technologies and AI applications in accounting, finance, and business operations.
