This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main technical consultant and reliable contact for strategic customer accounts.
• Foster and sustain long-term relationships with customers.
• Perform business reviews and evaluate system performance using key performance indicators such as throughput, read rates, mis-sort rates, system availability, and downtime.
• Discover optimization opportunities and promote continuous improvement.
• Create recommendations for preventive maintenance, equipment upgrades, retrofits, software improvements, and future expansions.
• Enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth through consulting, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities.
• Assist sales engineering and business development by assessing customer needs, operational challenges, system designs, and providing technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops.
• Prepare technical proposals and business cases, including responses to RFPs/RFIs, ROI analyses, modernization strategies, integrations, service agreements, and technology enhancements.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal engineering, project delivery, and support teams.
• Convert operational needs into technical specifications, handle escalations, and ensure issue resolution.
• Keep abreast of emerging automation technologies, such as AMR/AGV integration, vision-based sorting, and AI-driven solutions.
• Assist with commissioning, site acceptance testing, and system performance validation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5+ years of professional experience in technical account management, sales engineering, systems integration, or field engineering within the parcel and/or postal automation sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of high-speed parcel sortation technologies, including singulation, cross-belt systems, shoe sorters, tilt-trays, pocket sorters, and conveyor systems.
• Proficient understanding of vision systems, 1D/2D barcode scanners, dimensioners (DWS), and weight-in-motion scales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong skills in building relationships and providing customer service.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.
• Experience working collaboratively with engineering, operations, sales, and project management teams.
• Robust technical troubleshooting, systems analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Financial and commercial insight, including evaluating business opportunities and making ROI-driven recommendations.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Capability to obtain and maintain USPS security clearance within three months of hiring.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at least 50% of the time.
• Valid passport required for international travel.
• Must be able to lawfully enter and exit the United States and other countries necessary for business travel.
• No legal or regulatory barriers preventing necessary travel documentation or travel execution.
• Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
