Tech Ops Fellow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of specified technical programs

• Develop practical project schedules considering direction, constraints, milestones, and deliverables

• Divide tasks into manageable components and track progress through input and output metrics

• Coordinate project teams and ensure contributors meet their deliverables and milestones

• Identify, monitor, manage, and resolve project risks effectively

• Articulate the project vision and success criteria to teams and stakeholders

• Reassess strategies and escalate decisions that pose significant business risks

• Identify technical gaps and work collaboratively with engineers, adhering to sound technical principles

• Manage technical programs across various engineering, product, and operations teams over multiple quarters

• Engage in cultural and functional excellence initiatives, mentorship, diversity and inclusion programs, and hackathons

⛳️ Requirements

• Active-duty service member currently participating in the USSOCOM Warrior Care Program, Career Transition Internship, or a similar program

• DoD SkillBridge participants are not eligible

• Must be able to commence the Career Transition Fellowship by November 2026

• Required to complete a minimum of 120 days in the program prior to military transition

• Must be within 180 days of military transition at the start of the fellowship

• Written consent from the chain of command is necessary before final selection

• Typically possess 2 years of relevant experience

• Hold a BS or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or possess equivalent experience

• Capable of creating realistic plans based on constraints and tracking progress through metrics

• Comfortable managing trade-offs related to scope, schedule, and quality

• Experience in risk management

• Proficient in collaborating with engineers while applying sound technical judgment

• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Capable of managing project deliverables and milestones effectively

• Open to receiving on-the-job training and guidance regarding prioritization
