Tech Lead – Software Engineering, Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance the core product utilizing Ruby on Rails or Go.

• Introduce innovative features that enhance the solution's value.

• Produce high-quality code and implement AI-driven solutions.

• Integrate AI models to improve processes.

• Define and advance the architecture of integration systems.

• Make informed technical decisions regarding technology stack, standards, and trade-offs.

• Ensure technical consistency across services, modules, and integrations.

• Provide technical leadership to the team, including guidance for frontend team members.

• Act as a resource for coding, design, and debugging.

• Mentor backend and frontend engineers at various levels.

• Establish and uphold standards for code quality, testing, and observability.

• Lead code reviews, refactoring, and the creation of technical design documentation.

• Aid in breaking down complex challenges into manageable deliverables.

• Identify technical risks early and assist in estimation and planning.

• Collaborate with PMs and Designers to develop technically feasible solutions.

• Evaluate technical costs against delivered value and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Support production operations and reliability, including handling critical incidents.

• Continuously enhance MTTR, availability, and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience, preferably with Ruby on Rails or Go.

• At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role or as a squad’s technical lead.

• Strong understanding of relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and efficient data modeling.

• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.

• Proficient knowledge of Datadog/Grafana and messaging technologies like Sidekiq, SQS, or Kafka.

• Expertise in automated testing, RSpec or similar tools, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

• Experience in developing scalable RESTful APIs and a strong grasp of Git/Linux.

• Familiarity with LLM integration, AI frameworks, or the creation of data-driven features.

• Experience in system architecture and technical decision-making, considering trade-offs among performance, cost, security, and maintainability.

• Adequate frontend knowledge to review architectural decisions, discuss trade-offs, and ensure seamless backend–frontend integration.

• Technical leadership capabilities to mentor fellow developers.

• Demonstrated autonomy, proactivity, and a results-oriented approach.

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to tackle complex problems.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Preferred: experience in system integration, third-party APIs, webhooks, CRMs/ERPs, or connector platforms.

• Preferred: experience in providing technical support to corporate/enterprise accounts, gathering requirements, and adapting solutions without sacrificing maintainability.
