Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for critical features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and tackle unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews aimed to be completed within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuitive grasp of product design and user empathy.

• A strong motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of tests and the approach to writing them.

• Self-driven to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications outlined.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• A user-oriented approach to problem solving.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Submission of portfolio and LinkedIn links is required when applying.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or otherwise contributing to open-source projects in Android.
