Senior Software Engineer, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and architect backend systems, focusing on microservices decomposition, event-driven architecture, and distributed system design.

• Create Architecture Decision Records.

• Take ownership of the design and development of intricate backend services for claims, eligibility, and benefits logic.

• Contribute to the evolution of Node.js backend services as the platform progresses.

• Spearhead the design of Azure backend cloud infrastructure, which includes messaging, serverless architecture, data modeling, API management, and DevOps pipeline architecture.

• Manage healthcare data interchange integrations utilizing X12, HL7, FHIR, and NCPDP.

• Ensure that integrations are precise, compliant, and robust in production.

• Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Establish coding and testing standards for .NET.

• Oversee the architecture of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Guarantee that backend systems adhere to performance, reliability, security, and regulatory standards for a licensed commercial health insurer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of backend development experience with strong expertise in .NET Core/C# and/or Node.js.

• Proven experience in architecture-level design (microservices, distributed, event-driven).

• Expertise in Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipeline design, along with mentoring and code review experience.

• Candidates must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones.

• Must have a dedicated work area that is separate from other living spaces and ensures information privacy.

• Ability to maintain the security of all company-sensitive documents.

• Must live in an area that provides access to high-speed internet connection/service.

• Preferred: More than 10 years of backend/full-stack development experience.

• Preferred: Direct experience in healthcare technology (health plan, EHR, clearinghouse, health IT).

• Preferred: Production experience with X12 5010, HL7 FHIR R4, or NCPDP transaction processing.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and experience with AI-assisted development tools.
