Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch app functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow teammates.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and the methodologies for writing tests.

• A self-driven approach to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• A user-centered problem-solving mindset.
