Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team.

• Deliver top-notch features within the application.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and manage unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Take part in multiple technical interviews that are to be completed within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of the significance of testing and how to approach writing tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond initial specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• User-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Experience receiving continuous feedback from leadership.
