Engineering Lead, Verticalized AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of agent systems that gather and compile cases, incorporating human-in-the-loop reviews.

• Manage systems that align individuals with claims they are entitled to from explicitly authorized sources.

• Develop evaluation and quality frameworks to ensure measurable and dependable production agent performance.

• Oversee AI cost and performance at scale.

• Contribute to foundational platform elements, internal tools, MCPs, and agent harnesses.

• Recruit, assess, and nurture fullstack and ML engineers.

• Engage in daily development using coding harnesses and agents in the loop.

• Make independent product decisions and support them with evidence.

• Lead the vertical as an owner while collaborating across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and delivering production software at a staff-level technical scope.

• Demonstrated history of shipping products from start to finish and being accountable for outcomes.

• Strong product intuition and a proactive approach.

• Experience in early-stage environments (Series A or earlier).

• Experience in team building and development, or readiness to do so.

• Bonus: experience in deploying LLM agent systems to production, including human-in-the-loop review and assessment.

• Confidence in managing both the ML and product aspects of LLM agent systems.

• Proficiency in Python and Go.

• Familiarity with modern LLM/agent tools.

• Experience with AWS.

• Bonus: experience in regulated fields such as legal, healthcare, or finance.
