Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features while collaborating closely with the design team to ensure the delivery of high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Play a key role in shaping the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and tackle unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Support the expanding Android user base and contribute to new projects.

• Make informed product decisions and create user experiences that delight our users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of testing's significance and strategies for writing tests.

• Proactive in enhancing the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Motivated by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Portfolio and LinkedIn links required with application submission.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.

• Bonus: Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
