Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the Android application and be accountable for delivering high-quality functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with the design team.

• Help shape the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, manage, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Take responsibility for feature releases.

• Provide nightly builds for the Quality Assurance team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews conducted within approximately one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of the significance of tests and strategies for writing them.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• User-oriented problem-solving mindset.

• Driven by continuous feedback from leadership.

• Submission of portfolio and LinkedIn links is required in the application.

• Bonus: Experience in building, maintaining, or contributing to open source Android projects.

• Bonus: Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
