Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team to ensure the delivery of high-quality functionalities within the app.

• Influence the development of the Android team’s future.

• Oversee, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow teammates.

• Address critical issues and manage unforeseen challenges effectively.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Assist in expanding the Android app's user base and contribute to new projects.

• Make product decisions and create user experiences that delight our users.

• Complete a series of technical interviews within a focused one-week interview timeframe.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Knowledge of the significance of testing and strategies for writing tests.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-focused problem-solving mindset.
