Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key features and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Evaluate pull requests and offer assistance to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with various Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and an understanding of user needs.

• Ambition to advance the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of tests and methods for writing them.

• Self-motivated to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
