Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the application and ensure the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with the design team.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews aimed to be completed within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A drive to innovate within Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and methodologies for writing tests.

• Motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Strong communication skills.

• A user-oriented approach to problem-solving.
