Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities within the app.

• Help define the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and assist fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Assume responsibility for feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

• Support the expanding Android app user base and work on new projects to advance the product.

• Make product decisions and create user experiences that delight our users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• A strong drive to enhance Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and approaches to writing tests.

• Self-motivated to improve the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
