Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the Android application and deliver top-notch functionalities in partnership with the design team.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions spanning Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and provide support to colleagues.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews aimed for completion within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• Motivation to elevate the standards of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding of the significance of tests and methods to write them effectively.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the given specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Driven by ongoing feedback from leadership.

• Experience with Android open-source projects is a plus.

• Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS is an added advantage.
