Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality application features.

• Influence the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to colleagues.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Complete multiple technical interviews, ideally within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Ambition to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of tests and strategies for writing them.

• Initiative to enhance the application and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.
