Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the application and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver exceptional quality.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, uphold, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to colleagues.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of tests and strategies for writing them.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specified requirements.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• A user-centered approach to problem-solving.

• Experience in receiving continuous feedback from leadership.
