Tech Lead – Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of major features and collaborate closely with the design team.

• Be accountable for delivering high-quality in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to teammates.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges effectively.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds to the QA team.

• Complete multiple technical interviews, aimed to be finalized within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong intuition for product design and user empathy.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and the methodology of writing tests.

• Initiative to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• User-centered problem-solving mindset.

• Experience with receiving continuous feedback from leadership.
