Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of key features while collaborating closely with our design team - assume responsibility for delivering high-quality features within the app.

• Help define the future direction of our Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with various teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and offer support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and adapt to unforeseen challenges.

• Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency with Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and a strong sense of user empathy.

• A desire to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Understanding the significance of testing and a strategic approach to writing tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications outlined.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Strong communication skills.
