Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Help define the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for key functionalities.

• Engage in discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and effectively manage unexpected challenges.

• Take charge of feature releases and deliver nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews that are expected to be completed within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Android components.

• Proven experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuitive understanding of product design and empathy for users.

• A strong desire to innovate within Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and approaches to writing tests.

• A proactive attitude towards enhancing the application and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Outstanding communication skills.
