Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of major features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities.

• Influence the direction of the Android team’s future.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and navigate unexpected challenges.

• Take charge of feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Participate in multiple technical interviews aimed for completion within a week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Strong product design intuition and empathy for users.

• A drive to advance the boundaries of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and a strategy for writing tests.

• Self-motivated to enhance both the app and codebase beyond what is specified.

• Extensive experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
