Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality functionalities within the app.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and manage unexpected challenges effectively.

• Take responsibility for feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

• Complete a series of technical interviews, aimed to be concluded within one week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in developing or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy towards users.

• Ambition to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of testing and approaches to writing tests.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond what is specified.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.
