Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features within the Android application and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Manage, sustain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions involving Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues and tackle unforeseen challenges.

• Manage feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and empathy for users.

• Motivation to push the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Comprehension of the significance of tests and the methodology for writing them.

• Self-motivation to enhance the application and codebase beyond what is specified.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• User-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Highly responsive to continuous feedback from leadership.

• Submission of a portfolio and LinkedIn profile with the application is required.

• Experience with open-source Android projects, iOS, Web, or NodeJS is a plus.
