Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Take charge of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team, ensuring the delivery of top-notch in-app functionalities.

• Influence the future direction of the Android team.

• Own, monitor, and enhance the reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Review pull requests and provide support to fellow team members.

• Address critical issues effectively and manage unforeseen challenges.

• Take responsibility for feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• Intuition for product design and an understanding of user needs.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of testing and how to approach test writing.

• Self-motivation to enhance the app and codebase beyond the specifications provided.

• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• A user-focused problem-solving mindset.
