Tech Lead, Agentic Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of technical delivery at T-Innova, overseeing the engineering team, code management, release discipline, and technical decision-making.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, which includes hiring new engineers.

• Implement effective development practices through detailed specifications, appropriately sized tasks, reviews, and testing.

• Collaborate effectively with product teams, professional services, support, and the managing director.

• Transform agreed-upon use cases into specifications and thoroughly tested software utilizing AI coding agents.

• Design and shape data models, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, APIs, integrations, and agentic product functionalities.

• Develop client-focused AI features such as assistants, smart search, forecasting, and routine administrative automation.

• Maintain the health of the live platform, including Visual Basic 6, .NET Framework, PHP, and SQL Server systems.

• Safely update legacy code while minimizing the maintenance burden per client.

• Plan and execute client migrations from the existing system to the new cloud-based product.

• Introduce and take ownership of automated testing, CI/CD practices, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.

• Establish standards for code reviews and releases, clearly defining necessary proofs before changes are implemented for clients.

• Report on technical status to the managing director and group technology leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of eight years in professional software development.

• At least two years of experience leading engineers or holding technical ownership of a production system relied upon by real clients.

• Proven production experience with AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot agents.

• Capability to specify, guide, and validate the work of AI coding agents while assisting others in doing the same.

• Practical experience integrating AI features into a real product, including LLM APIs, prompting, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.

• Strong backend proficiency in at least one modern technology stack (.NET and C#, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).

• Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server design, migrations, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD methodologies.

• Ability to safely modify a mature codebase.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Capability to articulate technical trade-offs to non-engineers.

• Proactive in identifying issues, suggesting solutions, and ensuring follow-through.

• Spanish language skills are strongly preferred; Catalan is a plus.

• Nice-to-have experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture and transitioning on-premise clients to cloud solutions.

• Nice-to-have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or Bicep, and observability tools.

• Nice-to-have experience with Visual Basic 6, .NET Framework, PHP or Laravel, Windows Server, and Remote Desktop Services.

• Nice-to-have knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration and understanding of the EU AI Act.

• Nice-to-have familiarity with payments, invoicing, Spanish regulatory requirements, Veri*Factu, GDPR, and ENS.

• Nice-to-have experience in sports, fitness, leisure, or club management software, membership and booking systems, access control, or IoT hardware.
