Senior / Staff Software Engineer, C++

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable features using C++.

• Improve the performance of the platform.

• Provide support for critical functionalities within the core product suite.

• Contribute to the development of large-scale software applications.

• Commit code and deliver products as a reliable engineer.

• Define and uphold endpoint behaviors within managed environments.

• Apply design patterns to address enterprise-level software challenges.

• Create architecture documentation and establish subsystem contracts.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Designers, Product Managers, server engineers, and UI engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in C++ development.

• Proficient in C++14 or later versions.

• More than 5 years of experience in Windows systems-level C++ engineering.

• Strong knowledge of Windows kernel drivers.

• Experience in designing or maintaining a Windows kernel-mode driver or service that operates on production endpoints.

• Ability to design solutions from fundamental principles.

• Capable of driving technical design, drafting architecture documents, establishing subsystem contracts, and collaborating with server and UI engineers.

• Comfortable tackling problems with limited documentation and ambiguous requirements.

• Open to experimenting with AI tools within the development workflow.

• Experience with WHQL driver certification is highly desirable.

• Background in driver development (minifilter, WFP) is preferred.

• Must reside in one of the specified U.S. states.
