Team Manager, Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Oversee and facilitate the creation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of multimedia resources and interactive learning experiences tailored for K-12 students.

• Lead and mentor a team of professionals in audio, visual, graphics, and animation development.

• Collaborate with curriculum development, product management, product delivery, and external partners.

• Contribute to the refinement and prioritization of curriculum features, including the definition and validation of proof-of-concept, analysis of MVP feedback, and addressing strategic partner needs.

• Direct both internal and vendor multimedia development teams in establishing, testing, and implementing standards and requirements.

• Plan, organize, and coordinate resources and personnel for successful project execution.

• Create visually engaging interactive products.

• Utilize knowledge of authoring and development tools to inform design solutions and instructional strategies.

• Apply understanding of state and national curriculum standards and NSQ guidelines.

• Resolve intricate content-area challenges using advanced analytical judgment.

• Assist with strategic business decisions and influence senior leadership.

• Identify change initiatives and develop implementation strategies across the organization and partner schools.

• Build and maintain internal and external relationships that support department and company objectives.

• Coach and manage internal and external teams to meet ambitious deadlines.

• Mitigate project portfolio risks through effective contingency planning.

• Identify opportunities to utilize AI, automation, emerging technologies, and scalable production methods in multimedia workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required; a degree in education, curriculum, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multimedia, graphics, or animation development is required, with assets supporting asynchronous virtual learning being preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, foster a supportive work environment, and achieve results collaboratively.

• Proven history of meeting deadlines while delivering highly accurate, accountable work; strong attention to detail is essential; experience with editing, proofreading, and fact-checking is preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of education management systems, learning management systems, and/or content management systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft® Office and Azure DevOps; ability to quickly learn other software applications and technology platforms.

• Possess flexibility, self-direction, creativity, strong communication, and organizational skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
