Team Leader – Corporate Operations, LC LG Issuance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Verify Export payment discounts within the Export/Import framework, adhering to bank internal policies and ICC guidelines.

• Record transactions in the processing system across various Trade Finance business segments.

• Validate documents against L/C or SBLC in accordance with UCP/ISBP/ISP, ICC guidelines, and internal bank regulations.

• Conduct sanction checks for relevant parties in the documentation.

• Manage documentation related to Commodity Trade Operations.

• Enter documents into the system and prepare SWIFT messages for advising.

• Process Import, Export, and Guarantee transactions for commercial clients.

• Oversee Internet Banking and Trade Finance systems, including development, enhancements, functional requirements, testing, and implementation.

• Serve as the primary contact for user issues related to the system.

• Ensure adherence to bank policies and guidelines in all procedures.

• Address customer complaints and implement corrective or preventive measures.

• Function as the final reviewer of import/export bill documents while upholding consistent examination standards.

• Monitor the efficiency of processing, service standards, quality, and turnaround time.

• Recommend actions regarding changes in laws, ICC rules, government regulations, and bank policies.

• Lead a team and collaborate with onshore units and internal stakeholders.

• Engage in automation, process re-engineering, team meetings, and assigned projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Graduate with comprehensive knowledge of Trade Finance products and functions.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.

• At least 3-4 years of experience specifically in trade is essential.

• Preferably certified as CDCS.

• Deep understanding of SWIFT, Trade Finance, and Financial Operating Systems.

• General banking knowledge.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of working under pressure with outstanding organizational skills and a collaborative spirit.

• Minimum of 4 to 6 years experience in General Banking and Trade Finance.
