Team Lead – Legal Operations, Trust & Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in guiding the team’s analysts, which includes conducting one-on-one meetings, offering direct feedback, making allocation decisions, and overseeing hiring processes.

• Enhance the team’s proficiency in legal, analytical, technological, and AI domains.

• Oversee the results of moderation operations, ensuring adherence to deadlines, service level agreements (SLAs), decision quality, and managing backlog effectively.

• Organize the team’s workflow while independently making informed decisions on borderline and critical cases grounded in sound legal reasoning.

• Track essential metrics, report outcomes, and convert discrepancies into actionable plans.

• Align objectives with the Trust & Safety Product Manager and collaborate with Engineering, Data, Support, and Legal teams.

• Foster advancements in tools and automation while representing the team in leadership discussions.

• Convert operational and legal insights into informed product and technology decisions.

• Create and sustain AI agents for operations, including defining their scope and auditing prompts.

• Ensure the application of objective criteria and calibration among evaluators during quality assurance and audits.

• Evaluate launches, assess legal risks, and refine prompts, models, or workflows as needed.

• Act as a subject-matter expert on the Moderation Policy and the interplay between law, data, and AI.

• Continuously evaluate opportunities for automation and prioritize enhancements in productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law.

• Demonstrated experience in managing teams effectively.

• Background in technology firms or in operations driven by metrics and defined targets.

• Proficient data management skills, including the critical analysis of dashboards and the creation and tracking of key performance metrics.

• Hands-on knowledge of generative AI and large language models (LLMs), utilized in everyday tasks, along with the ability to structure and oversee automated legal evaluation workflows.

• Experience in developing and monitoring Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation abilities, capable of engaging with stakeholders across various functions and levels of seniority.
