Team Lead, Human Data Operations – Vision, Image & Video

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervise a team of AI Tutors responsible for providing training data and evaluations for SpaceXAI’s models.

• Take ownership of the entire quality and delivery process for designated Human Data projects.

• Conduct personal reviews of work to ensure accuracy, consistency, adherence to guidelines, and overall quality.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of AI Tutors, which includes conducting reviews, maintaining records, creating action plans, facilitating shadow sessions, and driving continuous improvement.

• Oversee and engage in labeling and reviewing tasks.

• Manage guidelines, taxonomies, and processes related to quality assurance.

• Identify operational challenges, implement process enhancements, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Create and deliver training materials, practice tasks, and certification benchmark activities.

• Oversee certification processes and workforce adjustments.

• Collaborate with Human Data Managers, Team Leads, and Engineering on labeling strategies and requirements.

• Document outcomes and communicate project status, risks, and results.

• Advocate for tutors and promote collaboration throughout the Human Data organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of practical experience in data labeling, annotation, AI training/evaluation, content quality, or related operational fields.

• Bachelor’s degree, or at least 4 years of professional experience in place of a degree.

• Familiarity with data quality metrics, annotation processes, and guideline-driven workflows.

• Proficient in using project management tools such as Notion, Axiom, JIRA, Linear, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, and how high-quality training data affects model performance.

• Proven experience in quality assurance within creative or media projects.

• Candidates must reside in one of the countries where SpaceXAI has a physical office; remote work is also available: United States, Dubai, Ireland, United Kingdom, Japan, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore.
