Team Lead, Application Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the software development lifecycle from initiation to completion.

• Ensure adherence to procedures while delivering high-quality software within set timelines and budget constraints.

• Lead a dynamic team of developers, architects, and quality assurance professionals.

• Assume Agile execution responsibilities and act as Scrum Master for the team.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives.

• Support a healthy workflow by eliminating obstacles, encouraging continuous improvement, and reinforcing Agile methodologies.

• Oversee the goals and contributions of team members.

• Promote collaboration, accountability, and ongoing enhancement within the team.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to convert priorities into actionable plans.

• Align project scope and sequencing, maintain a robust backlog, and set delivery expectations.

• Track project progress and modify plans as needed.

• Identify and address risks related to project delivery.

• Ensure compliance with code review processes and development standards.

• Stay updated on software development trends and technologies.

• Assess training needs and provide mentorship and guidance.

• Act on feedback from customers and products.

• Uphold safety, security, and privacy standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.

• At least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.

• Familiarity with application development, IT operations, finance, and other corporate systems.

• Strong preference for experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

• Extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

• Experience with cloud technologies, automation, web services, and containers is an advantage.

• Capability to manage a high-performing team, including hiring, performance reviews, and coaching.

• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

• Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical users across all levels of the organization.

• Experience in managing customer interactions and deliverables.

• Proven track record of delivering complex applications on time and within budget.

• Demonstrated success in product/project management.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Must be capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
