Tax Senior Manager – Private Client Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead a team, develop client relationships, and collaborate with Partners.

• Manage tax planning and compliance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families.

• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of federal, state, and local tax returns.

• Review intricate tax returns for technical precision and documentation.

• Act as the main client contact and assist with client meetings and presentations.

• Monitor engagement budgets, realization, utilization, margin risks, scope creep, and profitability.

• Mentor, train, and provide constructive feedback to staff members.

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Utilize tax technology, data tools, and process enhancements.

• Engage in business development, proposals, and the expansion of client relationships.

• Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and collaborate across the firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in providing tax compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals.

• Over 8 years of tax compliance experience, focusing on complex technical individual and business returns.

• Recent experience in public accounting is required.

• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification is necessary.

• Familiarity with GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software is preferred.

• Experience in acquiring new clients and expanding a book of business is preferred.
