Tax Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and evaluate client tax plans and projections

• Support the Tax Manager with income tax submissions for over 300 individuals

• Gain expertise and skill in matters related to income tax filing

• Collaborate with advisors to formulate tax strategies that align with clients’ financial objectives

• Verify that invoices correspond with client billing agreements and records

• Prepare and assess financial statements and reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow

• Analyze financial statement variances and trends

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in public accounting, tax filing, tax planning, or financial planning

• Familiarity with tax-related projects and individual tax issues

• Proficient with technology and capable of quickly adapting to new software applications

• Strong attention to detail

• Well-organized and capable of ensuring all tasks are completed

• Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to tackle new challenges

• Ability to communicate complex information clearly

• Quick thinker and eager to learn

• Comfortable working with diverse, distributed teams in a remote setting

• CPA or EA (Required)

• CFP (Optional)

• Preferred skills: CCH Axcess or similar professional tax software

• Preferred skills: Schwab, Fidelity, or comparable brokerage platform

• Preferred skills: Orion or similar portfolio management software

• Preferred skills: Salesforce or comparable client resource management tool

• Participation in E-Verify and completion of Form I-9 for work authorization verification
