This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform thorough evaluations of clients' property tax information at both state and local levels.
• Offer consulting services tailored to client needs.
• Oversee and direct intricate personal property compliance initiatives and assessment reviews of machinery and equipment.
• Execute recommendations and strategies for tax savings.
• Engage in business development activities.
• Draft written reports to support DMA’s stance for tax authorities.
• Review and provide periodic status updates to clients.
• Prepare Letters of Findings and tax summary data for client use.
• Collaborate with state and local tax officials to maximize tax savings.
• Manage designated client accounts.
• Keep updated on state and local legislation, court rulings, statutes, and regulations.
• Conduct in-depth industry and economic research to uncover client opportunities.
• Carry out physical inspections of facilities and engage with on-site management.
• Support WIP reports and forecasting efforts.
• Advocate for clients during audits and hearings with tax authorities.
• Assist in defining and developing tailored solutions for new and prospective clients.
• Oversee, coordinate, and evaluate the work of Tax Analysts and Senior Tax Consultants.
• Investigate complex tax issues and explore opportunities for alternative reductions.
• Discover additional avenues for tax savings for clients.
• Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Coursework in Appraisal is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in property tax consulting, appraisal, or a related sector.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to meet the job's travel requirements – at least 25% travel.
• Valid Driver’s License is necessary.
