Tax Operations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Assist in the annual tax reporting processes, which include data collection, validation checks, preparation of files, uploads, and distribution of necessary tax forms.

• Aid in fulfilling reporting requirements under FATCA, CRS, and QI, involving forms such as 1099, 1042-S, 1042, 945, and 1120-F.

• Help oversee the customer Tax Report queue, collaborating with external vendors and internal technical teams.

• Support daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tax withholding activities, including calculations, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections.

• Assist with customer inquiries and escalations related to tax matters, engaging with senior team members as necessary.

• Aid in reviewing tax implications associated with fintech and cryptocurrency products, including staking, forks, transfers, and sales.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes and ensure the maintenance of clear, accurate standard operating procedures.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, which include customer-facing teams, product management, operations, and DevOps.

• Support broader tax compliance efforts and closely collaborate with the Director of Tax Compliance and Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in financial services, accounting, compliance, operations, or audit.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Strong analytical abilities and a keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the capability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficient in Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.

• Fluent in English, with robust written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of FATCA, CRS, QI, or tax reporting procedures.

• Experience in financial services, brokerage, payments, or fintech.

• Exposure to cryptocurrency products or digital assets.

• Experience with operational processes, reconciliations, or customer support workflows.
