This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the small business and high-net-worth (HNW) individual tax team, managing staff and all deliverables within the pod.
• Conduct reviews of intricate individual tax returns for affluent clients, including trust, estate, and gift tax filings.
• Evaluate small business tax returns and act as a senior technical resource across various entity types within the team.
• Initiate proactive tax planning discussions that encompass individual tax strategies, family tax planning, gift tax, charitable planning, as well as wealth and succession planning.
• Investigate complex tax matters and formulate well-supported positions.
• Oversee workflow and prioritize multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring that quality standards and deadlines are adhered to.
• Work in collaboration with the firm's wider team and the clients' external advisors as necessary.
• Foster a culture centered on long-lasting client partnerships, continuity, and outstanding service.
• Over 7 years of public accounting experience, with a strong focus on HNW individual and small business taxation.
• Practical experience with trust and estate returns, gift tax, family tax planning, charitable planning, and/or wealth and succession planning.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
• Previous experience in a senior review or leadership position within a public accounting firm.
• Exceptional judgment, strong technical communication skills, and a sincere dedication to client outcomes.
• Annual discretionary bonus of up to 15%.
