This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and finalize all tax returns.
• Assess estimate calculations and client T-letters.
• Actively oversee workflow and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
• Supervise tax department workflow, setting priorities, commitments, goals, and ensuring timely deliverables.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies.
• Continuously enhance technical tax expertise.
• Investigate complex tax issues and establish IRS-defensible positions.
• Represent clients during audit processes.
• Mentor and develop team members assigned to your oversight.
• Effectively communicate job status, concerns, and inquiries to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Address client inquiries within a 48-hour timeframe.
• Conduct client meetings.
• Cultivate relationships within the department and across the firm.
• Support the firm's growth through new-client referrals.
• Monitor client billing, profitability, and budget adherence.
• Consideration of experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity in new-hire offers.
• Capability to review and complete all tax returns.
• Proficiency in reviewing estimate calculations and client T-letters.
• Ability to manage workflow and handle multiple projects under time constraints.
• Competence in overseeing tax department workflow while determining priorities, commitments, and planning for timely deliverables.
• Knowledge of technical tax competencies.
• Skills to identify and research complex tax topics.
• Ability to formulate IRS-defensible positions on tax matters.
• Capacity to represent clients during audits.
• Capability to mentor and develop an assigned team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Responsiveness to client inquiries within 48 hours.
• Proficiency in conducting client meetings.
• Ability to foster internal relationships and drive new-client referrals.
• Understanding of client billing practices, profitability, and budget management.
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess, Workstream, Sureprep, Engagement, CS Asset Planning, QuickBooks, Outlook, ShareFile, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
