Tax Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee, manage, and cultivate a team of tax advisors and preparers.

• Lead Tax Advisory Services projects for Prime and Elite clients, emphasizing proactive planning and multifaceted tax strategies.

• Ensure the quality and consistency of the tax compliance process.

• Act as the senior client-facing representative for intricate engagements involving business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and multi-entity situations.

• Develop and sustain technical training, quality assurance procedures, and feedback mechanisms.

• Serve as the firm's senior technical expert for tax compliance and advisory issues.

• Engage with the firm’s leadership team and influence strategic direction.

• Provide outstanding client experiences, retain high-value clients, and enhance advisory relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA is mandatory.

• Over 10 years of experience in public accounting with significant time spent in a leadership or review role.

• Extensive knowledge in tax planning, compliance, and review of complex business and individual tax returns.

• Proficient in developing tax strategies.

• Capability to swiftly assess client situations and devise strategies to reduce tax liabilities.

• In-depth understanding of individual and business taxation, including 1040s, 1120-S, 1065, multi-state, and multi-entity structures.

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain client relationships at the advisory level.

• Experience in managing or developing tax personnel.

• Comfortable operating in a growing firm and providing structure.

• Skills in leadership, coaching, motivation, and accountability.

• Strategic mindset, technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, ownership, and advisory approach.
