This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Travel to designated hotels, swiftly evaluate operational conditions, establish priorities, and assist with daily operations.
• Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and other assigned operational departments.
• Act as Manager on Duty when necessary.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and effective hotel operations by upholding service standards, addressing issues, and supporting team members.
• Contribute to hotel profitability through revenue enhancement, cost management, labor productivity, expense oversight, and consistent execution of operations.
• Utilize operational statements, labor and STR reports, guest feedback, audits, and performance metrics to identify root causes and enhance outcomes.
• Assist with transitions, openings, renovations, stabilization efforts, audits, and other key initiatives.
• Foster trust with hotel teams through visible leadership, clear expectations, recognition, coaching, team development, and constructive accountability.
• Proactively anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve workplace and operational challenges, promptly escalating significant risks.
• Keep property and corporate partners updated regarding progress, priorities, risks, opportunities, and future steps.
• Conclude each assignment with documented outcomes, unresolved risks, and a clear transition plan to support lasting success.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a Rooms or Food & Beverage department within a hotel; or a four-year college degree with one to two years of hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage experience; or a two-year college degree with at least two years of hotel Rooms or Food & Beverage experience.
• Prior hotel management or supervisory experience is essential.
• Understanding of the operations of select-service properties across Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Choice brands; experience with other major brands is a plus.
• Proven ability to support profitability, labor productivity, guest satisfaction, brand compliance, and associate engagement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using hotel systems and tools, including PMS, revenue platforms, guest feedback systems, and related hospitality technologies.
• Capability to perform effectively in stressful, high-pressure scenarios and to anticipate, prevent, identify, and resolve operational issues.
• Strong guest-service orientation, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to positively motivate team members.
• A composed, respectful, and decisive leadership style that fosters trust across hotel, corporate, ownership, and brand relationships.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time, often on short notice and for extended periods.
