Tableau Developer, People Analytics – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Redesign, develop, and enhance current Tableau dashboards utilizing contemporary data visualization techniques, user-friendly navigation, and captivating user experiences.

• Collaborate with the People Analytics team and stakeholders to convert business inquiries and requirements into effective dashboard solutions.

• Improve dashboard performance, usability, and maintainability.

• Integrate user feedback into continuous enhancements.

• Create self-service dashboards that enable stakeholders to analyze data and make informed decisions.

• Design, implement, test, and uphold Tableau row-level security measures for sensitive employee information.

• Develop scalable security frameworks based on user identity, organizational structure, roles, or access permissions.

• Work alongside People Analytics and technology/security partners to address data governance and privacy standards.

• Confirm security configurations across user roles, access scenarios, and organizational modifications.

• Document security architecture, configurations, and maintenance procedures.

• Create and optimize Tableau data sources, connections, and data models, primarily using Snowflake.

• Write and enhance SQL queries for dashboard data preparation.

• Resolve data quality, performance, and integration challenges.

• Streamline, automate, and standardize dashboard development and upkeep.

• Facilitate knowledge transfer, documentation, and sustainable solutions beyond the contract term.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards within a professional setting.

• Advanced expertise in Tableau, including dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters, filters, actions, data modeling, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing row-level security in Tableau, encompassing user-based access controls, entitlement/security mapping, and dynamic data filtering.

• Strong understanding of Tableau's security framework and how permissions, data sources, and row-level security interact.

• Proficient in working with relational databases and querying data using SQL or equivalent technologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in translating business needs into intuitive, high-quality analytical products.

• Exceptional attention to detail when handling sensitive or confidential information.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to independently manage priorities, deliver within specified timelines, and document solutions.

• Preferred: experience with Snowflake, Alteryx or similar ETL/data preparation tools, HRIS or People Analytics data, Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration, dynamic row-level security, dashboard modernization, Workday or other enterprise HR systems.
