Tableau Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and data extracts.

• Convert business needs into impactful BI and reporting solutions.

• Craft user-friendly data visualizations that enhance adoption and provide business value.

• Develop and refine SQL queries, data sources, and the performance of dashboards.

• Implement data modeling and ETL strategies to meet reporting needs.

• Assist with Tableau migration and analytics modernization projects.

• Partner with stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.

• Provide guidance to clients on data visualization, BI best practices, and analytics engagement.

• Contribute to project delivery within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Econometrics, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, or Tableau Development.

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and reporting solutions within a professional context.

• Experience in gathering and converting business requirements into technical solutions.

• Proven ability to operate effectively in multidisciplinary and Agile settings.

• Professional proficiency in English.

• Mastery of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and/or Tableau Cloud.

• Strong SQL capabilities for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Experience in developing and optimizing Tableau data sources, extracts, and dashboard performance.

• Understanding of data modeling principles and BI architecture concepts.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration concepts.

• Ability to design visualizations that harmonize business value, usability, and user experience.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

• Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is a plus.

• Familiarity with supporting Tableau migration or analytics modernization initiatives is a plus.

• Knowledge of Databricks and Microsoft Azure environments is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Python is a plus.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

• Understanding of UX/UI principles related to analytics solutions is a plus.

• Exposure to international projects or multicultural teams is a plus.

• Tableau certifications or other relevant BI certifications are a plus.
