Systems Solutions Consultant, Pharmacy Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive solution delivery for pharmacy automation and outpatient pharmacy portfolios.

• Emphasize customer experience from the pre-sales stage all the way through post-implementation.

• Advise clients on the implementation and optimization of retail, ambulatory, and long-term care pharmacy automation solutions.

• Conduct assessments of the customer's current state and devise future-state strategies that align with their goals.

• Collaborate and communicate with both internal and external team members regarding recommendations and proposed solutions.

• Engage with implementation resources and serve as the primary point of contact until the engagement is completed.

• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to prioritize activities effectively.

• Work alongside implementation and support teams to enhance the application of solutions for customers.

• Guide internal staff in adopting best practices.

• Offer sales consultation and analyze workflows related to medication management and supply chain systems.

• Identify inefficiencies, patient/provider safety issues, revenue opportunities, cost-saving measures, regulatory compliance gaps, and drug diversion risks.

• Revamp workflows and suggest practice modifications utilizing BD solutions.

• Deliver clinical consulting support and create tailored strategic BD solution roadmaps for customers.

• Stay engaged throughout the customer lifecycle as a strategic contact point.

• Cultivate partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Product Research and Development, Interface, Implementation and Support, Customer Advocacy, and Training teams.

• Contribute healthcare industry insights for new product development and software improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required.

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy-related operations is necessary (either in-patient or out-patient).

• Experience in retail/outpatient pharmacy operations and workflow design is essential.

• Long-term care experience is preferred.

• An advanced degree or certifications in pharmacy automation would be advantageous.

• Candidates must reside in CO, NM, AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA, MN, ID, WY, or UT.

• Lean six sigma certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including nights and some weekends, is required.

• Must live within one hour of a major airport.

• A valid state-issued driver’s license with three years of continuous driving history is necessary, along with adherence to BD’s auto safety standards.

• Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially regarding LTC-based care continuum medication management and supply chain processes is essential.

• In-depth understanding of pharmacy and materials management practices/workflows, as well as BD’s pharmacy automation dispensing solutions, is required.

• Strong solution expertise in outpatient and long-term care pharmacy specialties is necessary.

• Excellent presentation and business writing skills are required.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, work independently, and exercise critical thinking is expected.

• Strong collaborative skills with sales, customer service, implementation, support, marketing, product research and development, interface, customer advocacy, and training teams are essential.
