This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Create strategic technology roadmaps that align with customer and market needs.
• Define the next-generation architectures for racks, power, thermal, and infrastructure that comply with OCP standards.
• Assess emerging technologies, standards, and industry trends that affect AI and hyperscale data centers.
• Lead technology evaluations, proof-of-concept initiatives, and competitive benchmarking activities.
• Translate customer and industry needs into specifications for product and system architecture.
• Engage in Open Compute Project (OCP) workgroups and industry consortiums.
• Collaborate with hyperscale clients, ODMs, OEMs, silicon suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Contribute to the future direction of standards and technology through active industry engagement.
• Act as a technical advisor to engineering, product management, sales, and executive leadership teams.
• Develop rack-scale power architectures that support 48VDC, ±400VDC, 0-800VDC, and upcoming HVDC systems.
• Define strategies for power distribution, including busways, busbars, Remote Power Panels (RPPs), and intelligent power monitoring.
• Oversee the integration of high-density power systems that support AI deployments exceeding 1MW per rack.
• Assess and incorporate advanced cooling technologies such as Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), rear-door heat exchangers, and immersion cooling methods.
• Direct architecture reviews, requirements development, risk assessments, and design validation processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and testing organizations to set validation strategies and qualification plans.
• Identify technical risks at an early stage and devise mitigation strategies to ensure successful product execution.
• Carry out other assigned duties.
• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in data center infrastructure, power systems, systems architecture, or related engineering disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical power conversion and distribution systems.
• Experience in leading complex, cross-functional technical projects.
• Preferred: An advanced degree in a technical field.
• Preferred: Direct experience with Open Compute Project (OCP) initiatives and specifications.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting hyperscale clients and AI infrastructure deployments.
• Preferred: Active involvement in standards organizations or industry workgroups.
• Expertise in high-density AI infrastructure, high-current busbar systems, rack PDUs, intelligent power distribution, 48VDC, ±400VDC, 0-800VDC and HVDC architectures, Remote Power Panels, Solid State Transformers, battery backup systems, and rack-scale power delivery.
• Expertise in Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), rear-door heat exchangers, immersion cooling technologies, and thermal modeling and optimization.
• Expertise in OCP networking architectures, GPU and AI cluster infrastructure, high-speed interconnect technologies, optical networking, and rack-scale system architectures.
• Expertise in OpenBMC, Redfish and DMTF standards, rack-level telemetry and monitoring, infrastructure orchestration and management software, remote diagnostics, and lifecycle management.
