Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create innovative concepts for advanced, high-performance infrastructures

• Consult with clients on the technical viability of IT infrastructure projects

• Design solution architectures for IT initiatives and processes

• Collaborate with specialized departments and Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM)

• Provide guidance on technological solutions

• Assist infrastructure projects from the planning stage through to implementation

• Oversee the IT security assessment of architectures and IT solutions

• Support clients with inquiries regarding security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity

• Collect requirements and evaluate potential use cases

• Evaluate technical feasibility

• Construct highly secure, high-performance platforms for the digitalization of public administration services

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in a field related to IT

• Multiple years of experience as an IT Architect or in a similar role

• Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies

• Experience in implementing services within heterogeneous infrastructures

• Initial exposure to cloud infrastructures, preferably Private Cloud or a comparable setting

• Self-motivated and organized work approach

• Customer-oriented attitude

• Knowledge of documentation that meets BSI requirements and IT standards

• Proficient in the German language

• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer

• Knowledge of Linux, especially SUSE Linux Enterprise and Red Hat Enterprise Linux

• Scripting capabilities in PowerShell

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory

• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Private Cloud or AWS

• Familiarity with MS-SQL, Oracle, and MariaDB/MySQL

• Knowledge of load balancers, such as Radware Alteon

• Understanding of middleware such as Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and JBoss

• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V

• Knowledge of network components including TCP/IP, firewalls, and routers

• Experience with backup solutions and strategies
