This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support and expert advice for both on-premise and cloud-based IT assets

• Manage, sustain, and resolve issues related to servers and systems

• Install, rebuild, and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage solutions

• Set up and repair servers, software, end-user devices, and peripheral equipment

• Ensure optimal daily performance of server environments

• Monitor and troubleshoot both physical and virtual server infrastructures

• Oversee systems and address security or usability challenges

• Enhance systems and processes for improved functionality and security measures

• Deploy cloud-based assets and solutions

• Maintain and troubleshoot Windows server environments and associated systems

• Manage and resolve issues with network services such as File and Print services, Exchange, Microsoft 365/Exchange Online, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS

• Configure and troubleshoot software deployments for both Windows and Linux servers

• Provide Tier 3 support to clients and technical staff

• Assist with backup and disaster recovery testing

• Create and maintain documentation for server, cloud, and application environments

• Uphold security practices in accordance with industry and corporate standards

• Operate under the supervision of the Director of IT Infrastructure


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

• Over 5 years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and CentOS

• Experience with Azure Cloud Services

• Familiarity with Exchange 2013, Exchange Online, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, and Active Directory

• Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux (CentOS) server operating systems

• A+ and Network+ Certification holders

• Experience in Hyper-V and VMware virtual environments

• Knowledge of SAN and NAS technologies

• Strong expertise in SCCM

• Proficient in diagnostic and troubleshooting utilities and methodologies

• Solid understanding of cloud services environments, preferably Azure, with experience in creating cloud-based solutions

• Familiarity with ITIL best practices

• Excellent documentation skills

• Strong customer service abilities

• Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills

• Ability to travel to various site locations within the assigned territory

• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary

• Availability outside of regular business hours on an as-needed basis
